COURSE AIMS
To leave the day with a greater understanding of our relationship to money.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Open to all, men and women, irrespective of social background, race, sexual orientation or religion.
Suitable for beginners through to seasoned practitioners
Money touches most areas of our lives and, as in all intimate relationships; fundamental issues are played out in our relationship with money.
As a symbol of relationship, it can represent the balance of giving and receiving, independence and dependency, control, power, dominance and submission, gratitude and love, truth and deception. It can be used to reward, to punish and to hold onto people.
Money allows us the promise of never having to want and never having to be seen to be wanting.
We can turn from the embarrassment of our deeper and often more complex emotional desires needs and focus on the things money can buy, status, lifestyle, security and possessions.
Although money can give us power and freedom, it can also create dependency.
Our need for money reflects deeper needs – hunger, longing, appetite – and the seriousness of this grown up exchange often covers up more childish feelings.
We detach from our needs and focus on the objects of our desire – the things money can buy.
Understanding our relationship with money gives great insight into our relationship with ourselves, others and the world we live in.
