Lynne Ridden

Lynne has worked with individuals, groups and organisations for over 20 years, as a trainer, a chartered occupational psychologist and, in more recent years, as a psychotherapist. Her work as a psychologist focussed on the relationship between work and well-being which influenced her understanding of the need for creative expression as essential to health. This in turn led her to train as an integrative arts psychotherapist.

She has an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy from the Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education, London, and currently works both in private practice and within the NHS. Her integrative approach draws on the use of image and metaphor as a means of facilitating individuals to realise their inner wisdom as they explore their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Lynne also works in the here and now - supporting clients to deepen their understanding of their lived experience in the moment as a means of living life more fully and authentically in the present rather than being stuck in the past or frightened of the future.

Lynne is a poet and shamanic practitioner and is influenced by Zen Buddhism and Sufism. She brings to her work her passion for life, love and laughter as well as a profound understanding of the healing that art and nature provide.
