1. About us and this website
This website is owned and operated by New Road Legal, a company authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA number 8013367). New Road Legal is the trading name of New Road Consultancy Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16722216. We are registered for VAT under number 507 2536 06. We hold professional indemnity insurance in line with the minimum level of cover required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
2. Client take-on procedures
Using this website does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and us. A relationship of that kind arises only once we have agreed to act for you and confirmed our engagement in writing, and after we have completed our client and matter take on obligations and procedures. Our take on procedures incorporate the conflict and identity checks which are required by law and regulation.
If you are interested in becoming a client, please contact us so that we can determine whether your matter is one with which we can assist you. Please do not provide us with confidential, legally privileged or sensitive information before we have carried out and completed our conflict checks, unless we ask you to do so. This is because if you provide information to us on an unsolicited basis and it is or might be relevant to the matter of a current client of the firm, in certain circumstances we may be required by law and regulation to disclose it to that client.
